They are wicked
For some reason, the Los Angeles Public Library’s email reminder system failed to remind me about a due date, yet was diligent about telling me that I am owing overdue fines. This, and the loan time decreasing from three to only two weeks, makes me think that it’s a ploy to increase funding.
It’s all a little too back-handed for me, although I understand that isn’t enough funding in these times...
