Too many toys →
“They [kids] get overwhelmed and over-stimulated and cannot concentrate on any one thing long enough to learn from it so they just shut down. Too many toys means they are not learning to play imaginatively either.”
A study by the University of Stirling recently concluded that expensive, hi-tech toys are a waste of money - children learn just as much from playing with an old mobile phone.

Pee-Wee's store
There’s now an official Pee-Wee Herman store! But I’m disappointed that most things look like they came out of CaféPress. The cream of the crop are the abstinence ring and the bandanas. Everything else just looks so unexciting. Come on, Pee-Wee, I know you can do better.

Moths and butterflies
At the end of 2008, I designed some blank cards for the G2 Gallery. I had several designs inspired by the wings of moths and butterflies, but only the Hackleberry Butterfly made it to print.
