Harry Potter made it okay for us adult readers of children’s lit to come out of the closet, so I won’t be shy about Mrs. Frisby and the Rarts of NIMH.
I first read the book in sixth grade, and loved it. After watching the animated movie recently, I re-read the book. After 12+ years, it’s still good! I highly recommend it, whatever your age, and not because it has rats in it.
Funny, too, I could pick out words in the book there were on the vocabulary list for sixth grade.
