I meant to post this a while ago, but now I’ll have to post it with a bit of sadness.Tony Blair, the rat artist, has died.

When I first heard about Tony Blair the rat, I was so amused. He makes art by gnawing on various objects like avocado, plants, plastic, etc. I saw some of the gnawed avocado; it’s like an exploration into formalism (the textures made by rat teeth is interesting) and subject matter.

Of course, the artistic value of his work is hotly debated, but it was nice to readTony’s blog and see a rat that lived a good life, well-cared for and loved.
