[Answered] I’m crowdsourcing this one…

There is a Japanese artist who makes fairly large sculptures of mushroom/fungus forms in red and white. The forms are more shaped like bowling pins than mushrooms. The pattern is usually white spots on red, but I have seen the reverse with red spots on white. The size ranges from about 10 feet tall to maybe a foot? I think the artist is a woman, but I’m not certain at all. I believe s/he had a show in Rotterdam last year, and I recently saw some small forms for sale at the Seattle Art Museum gift shop. Does anyone know her name?

Answer: Yayoi Kusama

Thanks, Dan!
